Media-based storytelling is one of the most powerful forces in our lives, societies, and cultures. The Film & Digital Media Department is designed to provide students with a broad-based understanding of this field, enabling them to become ethical, articulate, creative, and innovative leaders in media production, media management, and media studies.

The Baylor in Los Angeles (BULA) program is an opportunity for students to work and learn in the heart of the filmmaking industry. This summer program, to hosted by The Los Angeles Film Studies Center (LAFSC), offers students four credits to live, learn, and work in Los Angeles.

Three Baylor University filmmakers -- two recent graduates and a current graduate student –– have won awards at the 2025 BEA Festival of Media Arts. In the annual contest, the original films created by the Baylor winners competed with works by their peers from more than 300 colleges and universities.
