Lead actor and director join November 8 fundraiser for World Cup Café and Fair Trade Market

WACO, Texas — Experience Waco on the big screen alongside two of the filmmakers who brought it to life. Mission Waco will host a special screening of Sironia with lead actor and musician Wes Cunningham and director Brandon Dickerson on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3:30–6:30 p.m. at Jubilee Theatre, 1319 North 15th Street.

Filmed across Waco, Sironia features original music by Cunningham. Both Cunningham and Dickerson are Waco residents and will join guests for a Q&A session following the screening, offering an opportunity to hear directly about the film, its music and local connections.

The fundraiser benefits World Cup Café and Fair Trade Market as they celebrate 20 years of community connection and opportunity. Admission is pay-as-you-wish, Mission Waco asks forradical generosity with the goal to support the community staples into the next 20 years.

The screening begins at 3:30 p.m., followed at 5:30 p.m. by a Q&A session with the film’s director and actor, a meet-and-greet, reception and shopping in Fair Trade Market.

Throughout the last 20 years, World Cup Café has created employment and training opportunities for neighbors facing barriers to work while offering a welcoming place for the community to gather. Fair Trade Market connects shoppers with ethically made goods that support fair wages and opportunities for artisans around the world. Together, these social enterprises help turn everyday purchases into meaningful support for neighbors locally and globally.
