Background

Daniel Beard is an independent filmmaker and educator specializing in film producing and management. A Fort Worth native, Daniel served 10 years in the United States Navy before earning his degree at Baylor University, where he worked as an electronics technician in the Film & Digital Media Department. After completing his MA in Communication, he began teaching in 2017 and now leads courses on producing and documentary filmmaking.

Alongside his academic role, Daniel freelances as a producer and film consultant. His production credits include Seven Short Films About (Our) Marriage (2020), Dual Interests (2016), But I'm a Shoe (2024), Ring by Spring(2024), The Topaz Troop (2018), and the documentary InDoctornated (2025). Passionate about independent cinema and collaborative storytelling, Daniel combines creative vision with practical expertise to bring compelling projects to life.
